CCCNS Board of Directors

Ms. Barb Bigelow, chair of the Board of Directors, is Executive Director of Peter Green Hall Children's Centre, and has been with the CCCNS Board since 1999.

Ms. Joann Sweet, represents the Certification Council of Early Childhood Educators of Nova Scotia (CCECENS). She is director of the Early Childhood Development Resource Centre at Nova Scotia Community College, Kingstec Campus. She joined the Board in 2009.

Mr. Denzel David, represents the Private Licensed Administrators Association (PLAA), and is the owner of Burnside Children's Centre and Kinderville Montessori. He joined the Board in 2004.

Ms Kathleen Couture, represents the Nova Scotia Coalition of Non Profit Directors, and is the director of Edward Jost Children's Centre in Halifax. She joined the Board in 2009.

Ms.Sue Melanson, represents the Nova Scotia Child Care Association. She is a Certified (CCECENS) Early Childhood Educator. She joined the Board in 2009.

Ms.Kim Elliott, provides a perspective that focuses on post secondary ECE training. She is executive director of the Institute for Human Services Education. She joined the Board in 2008.

Ms.Donna Stapleton, is Executive Director of Small World Learning Centre. She joined the Board in 2005.
